About CoastlineGuide

CoastlineGuide is an independent travel guide to Side, Manavgat, Alanya and Antalya. We publish 17 attractions, the region's markets and ready-made itineraries free of charge in four languages.

What you will find here

17 attractions — ancient cities, waterfalls, canyons, caves and beaches, each with entrance fee, opening hours, transport and how long to allow.

Market guide — which day and time each weekly market runs, with its own page and directions.

Ready-made itineraries — 3 days in Side, Antalya in one day, day trips from Alanya.

Trip planner — an interactive tool for picking stops on the map and building your own route.

Where our prices and hours come from

This is the question we get most often, so we will be plain about it:

Entrance fees on this site are approximate and quoted in euros. You pay at the gate in Turkish lira, and both the exchange rate and official tariffs change during the year.

Opening hours are for the summer season. Many archaeological sites close earlier in winter — this is noted on the individual pages.

Every page carries a "Last updated" date so you can see when we last checked the information.

For official current museum and site tariffs, check muze.gov.tr. Please verify anything critical before you travel.

How we keep it current

Fees and hours are reviewed in full at the start of each season. If you spot something wrong, tell us — we will correct it and refresh the update date on that page.

Advertising and affiliate links

This site carries advertising, and some links are affiliate links; we may earn a commission on bookings made through them at no extra cost to you.

Advertising and commission do not influence which places we recommend. If somewhere is free we say it is free, if it is crowded we say so, and where swimming is not allowed we say that plainly.

Who puts this guide together

CoastlineGuide is written and published by Süleyman Kaptan, who lives in Manavgat. There is no publishing house or tourism company behind it: the writing, the fact-checking and the upkeep of the site are one person's work.

The information comes from three places: official publications — Ministry of Culture and Tourism tariffs, municipal announcements — first-hand observation, since this is the region we actually live in and market days and transport details are checked on the ground, and corrections sent in by readers. Every page carries the date its details were last verified.

What we do not sell

CoastlineGuide is not a travel agency. We sell no tours, transfers, tickets or accommodation, we take no bookings, and we do not feature any business in exchange for commission. The site is funded by advertising, and our recommendations are independent of it.

If we did not think a place was worth it, we would not write about it. Where somewhere is free we say so; where it is crowded we say that too.
