Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 August 2026

The short version: there is no sign-up, no contact form and no newsletter on this site, so we never ask you for personal details. Google, which serves the ads, and a handful of external services that make the pages work may set their own cookies — each one is listed below.

The stops you pick in the trip planner stay in your own browser. They are never sent to us.

1. Who runs this site

manavgatroutes.com is published by Süleyman Kaptan (Manavgat / Antalya, Türkiye). For any privacy question or request, write to suleymankaptan43@gmail.com.

This is the data controller under the GDPR and the data controller (veri sorumlusu) under Turkish law no. 6698 (KVKK).

2. What we collect

Given directly by you

Nothing. There is no account, login, comment section, contact form or mailing list. The only exception is if you email us yourself: in that case the correspondence itself — your name, address and message — stays in our inbox so we can answer you.

Collected automatically

As on any website, the hosting server keeps technical log files. These normally contain your IP address, browser and operating system, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and the referring page if there is one.

Those logs exist for server security, error tracing and abuse prevention — not to identify you as a person. They are not shared with anyone and are never used for advertising.

Stored in your browser

The trip planner saves the stops you select in your browser's local storage (localStorage, key coastlineguide.route) so your list survives closing the tab. This data is never transmitted to the server. Clearing site data in your browser deletes it at any time.

3. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. This site sets no cookies of its own. Any cookie you encounter comes from the third-party services described below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The content of the site works perfectly well without them; only the maps and the ad slots are affected.

4. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

Advertising on this site is served through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.

The DoubleClick DART cookie: Google uses the DART cookie to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. The purpose is to show advertising closer to your interests — this is known as personalised advertising.

Google's partners — third-party ad networks — may likewise use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance and limit how often you see the same advertisement.

The consent banner (EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland)

If you connect from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent message appears before any advertising cookie is set. Until you make a choice, advertising and measurement cookies stay switched off (Google Consent Mode v2, defaulting to "denied") and ads can only be shown in non-personalised form.

You can change your choice afterwards: the "Privacy settings" link in the message reopens the banner. Visitors outside these regions are not shown the banner; they can still turn personalisation off through Google Ad Settings below.

How to opt out of personalised advertising

Opting out does not remove advertising. You will still see ads, but they will no longer be selected on the basis of your interests.

5. Analytics

This site currently uses no Google Analytics and no other visitor-tracking tool. If one is added later, this section will be updated and will state exactly what is processed.

6. Other external services we load

A few external resources are loaded so the pages render properly and the maps work. Each of these services sees your IP address, because it has to in order to deliver the file:

Maps load only on pages that contain a map. This privacy page, the contact page and the about page carry neither maps nor advertising code.

7. How long data is kept

Server logs are kept briefly for technical purposes and rotated out by the hosting provider under its own retention policy. Email correspondence is deleted a reasonable time after the matter is closed. The lifetime of advertising cookies is set by Google and can be managed through the links above.

8. GDPR — for visitors in the European Union

If you visit from the EU or EEA, your data is covered by the General Data Protection Regulation. Our legal bases are:

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country. Email the address above and we will respond within one month, insofar as we can verify your identity.

The advertising and resource providers named here are established outside the EU, so a transfer of data to a third country can occur. Google states that it relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.

9. KVKK — for visitors in Türkiye

Under Turkish law no. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, personal data is processed lawfully, for limited purposes and proportionately. The only category processed on this site is the connection data that arises for technical reasons; it is never sold or transferred to anyone for commercial purposes.

Article 11 of the law gives you the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing, to have incomplete or incorrect data corrected, to request deletion or destruction where the conditions are met, and to object to processing. Send your request to the email address above.

10. Children's privacy

This site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete the record immediately.

11. External links

Our pages link out to museum and municipal websites, map services and reference sources. Once you follow such a link, we are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or cookies of the site you land on. This policy covers manavgatroutes.com only; we recommend reading the policy of every site you visit.

12. Advertising and affiliate links

Advertising revenue pays for the running of the site. Some outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning we can earn a commission on a booking made through them at no extra cost to you. Neither advertising nor commission influences which places we recommend.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy is updated whenever the services used on the site change. When that happens, the "last updated" date at the top is refreshed. For a significant change, the relevant section is rewritten in plain terms rather than quietly amended.
