Damlataş is the colourful stalactite cave in the centre of Alanya, discovered by accident in 1948 when rock was being blasted for the harbour. Its dripstones, some 15,000 years in the making, glow in warm reds and oranges under the cave lighting.
A constant 22–23°C, 95% humidity and high CO2 give the cave a microclimate credited with easing asthma — mornings are reserved for breathing-therapy sessions. It sits right beside Cleopatra Beach, making a perfect 30-minute cool-down on a beach day.
